The eighth edition of the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival will be held at the historic Diggi Palace, Jaipur, from January 21-25, 2015. Produced by Teamwork Arts Pvt Ltd, Jaipur Literature Festival will have a number of themes running through the various sessions and panel discussions on all the five days.

Jaipur Literature Festival 2015 will see Nobel laureate Sir. V. S. Naipaul, 2013 Man Book Prize Winner Eleanor Catton, acclaimed novelist Hanif Kureishi, celebrated American travel writer Paul Theroux, prominent Hindi poet Kedarnath Singh, Man Booker Prize nominee Neel Mukherjee, novelist Amish Tripathi, German children’s author Cornelia Funke and celebrated author and translator Arshia Sattar among others. The festival will also witness musical performances, workshops, debates and discussions in all the five days of the event.

Namita Gokhale, writer and co-Director of the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival, says, “The Zee Jaipur Literature Festival has become one of the wonders of the thinking world. The 2015 edition will continue to nurture books, ideas and dialogue, and showcase the range and diversity of South Asian literature as well as the best in international writing.”

The Zee Jaipur Literature Festival was originally an initiative of the Jaipur Virasat Foundation, an NGO that works with Rajasthan’s musicians and craftspeople to preserve skills and promote economic livelihoods while protecting heritage.
