The Bangalore Literature Festival (BLF) is an annual flagship event on the cultural calendar of Bangalore and focuses on rekindling the romance with literature and fostering fine reading and writing, especially amongst the young population of the city. Bangalore has always inspired creative thinkers and authors. The festival celebrates this creative spirit of the city, popular as the Garden City of India and commemorates the literary diversity it offers, bringing it in conversation with the best minds in the world of literature within and outside India.

Bangalore Literature Festival is the brain-child of committed individuals who wanted to provide this very enrichment to their city and facilitate the emergence of Bangalore as the new locus of Indian literature. The team behind BLF includes Vikram Sampath, an author and recipient of Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar, winner of Commonwealth Short Story Asia Shinie Antony and Srikrishna Ramamoorthy.

The 3rd edition of the Bangalore Literature Festival will be held at Crowne Plaza at Velankani Tech Park in Bangalore and will witness authors and writers from all around the world, artistes, film screenings and food stalls. Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, is also known as 'Rock Capital of India'.
