Comic Con India, the host of Bangalore Comic Con was formed couple of years back to avoid the costly expense of traveling abroad to comic conventions. Since then, the convention has become immensely popular mainly among the young comic book lovers growing to multiple events across India.

On September 12, Bangalore will host the 2nd edition of the annual comic convention, Comic Con at White Orchid Convention Centre at Hebbal. Previously Express Edition of Comic Con was held in Bangalore on September 8 and 9, 2012 and Bangalore's first annual Comic Con India was held on June 1 and 2, 2013 at Koramangala Indoor Stadium.

The 2014 convention will witness international guests and comic book celebrities like David Lloyd, the illustrator of V for Vendetta, Dan Parent, the American comic book artist known for his work for Archies Comics, Peter Kruper, an American cartoonist and illustrator, best known for his work in the Spy vs Spy series, Sana Amanat, editor at Marvel Entertainment and Neil Gaiman, creator of Sandman and American Gods. The guests will be participating in live video conferences and Q&A sessions.

Apart from this, few new titles will be launched at the convention including Ravanayan Finale-Part 2, Aghori-Issue 11, Odayan II-Yuddham, The Kaurava Empire etc. Another highlight of Bangalore Comic Con 2014 is Cosplay (Costume Contest). One will also get a chance to see the celebrities in a funny new avatar at Shijokes, the caricature shop.

In addition to that, Comic Con Bangalore has teamed up with Grallo, the transport solutions provider, to take people from different areas of Bangalore to the Comic Con venue for a small fee. More info here.
