For the exposure of Srimanta Sankardeva's cultural works and the Sankari culture, a seminar will be held in the premises of Madhupur Than in West Bengal on Sunday, November 23 along with cultural performances. The event is hosted by Society for Srimanta Sankaradeva, a community organisation in Guwahati engaged in promoting universal fraternity preached by Assam's Vaishnava saint Srimanta Sankaradeva. Several scholars from Kochbehar will speak on the life and works of Srimanta Sankaradeva in the seminar.Eminent Sattriya Nritya exponent Sharodi Saikia along with several artists of Srimanta Sankaradeva Sangha will attend the event. A lecture-cum-demonstration of Sattriya Nritya will be held by Prateesha Suresh from Mumbai in the seminar. Eminent artist Pabitrapran Bora, who is also the Cultural Secretary of Srimanta Sankaradeva Sangha will perform Sutradhari Nritya. Manoj Kumar Das of Barpeta, who has performed in many places of India will perform solo Khol (Assamese musical instrument introduced by Sankardeva) recital.
