Live Banned , a band from Bangalore known for their original single The Auto Tune, performed at a concert in Bangalore on Sept 22, 2012. The band has played in more than eight hundred gigs in India since their inception in 2011. The band consist of Amrit Rao on vocals, Sridhar Varadarajan on Guitars, Siddhart Kamath on Keyboard, Dheerendra Doss on Drums and Raveesh Tirkey on Bass. The event was organized by Artha Properties, Bangalore on the occasion of launching their new project ‘ Brickfield Gem Park ’ in Sarjapur, Bangalore. Slayer the American thrash metal band has confirmed their first concert in India in October, 2012.   Information Tour name: Rock 'N India Venue : "Bhartiya City" Thanisandra Road, Bangalore, India Date : Saturday, October 20, 2012 Time : 04:00 PM Tickets : Click Here The festival "Rock 'N India", produced by DNA Entertainment Networks Pvt Ltd since 2008, has hosted some of the greatest artists in the world of International music.  The Band Slayer was formed, in 1981 by guitarists Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King. Till 2009 they have released eleven albums. Current members of the band are Tom Araya – lead vocals, bass guitar, Jeff Hanneman – guitar, Kerry King – guitar and Dave Lombardo – drums. Touring members are Tony Scaglione – drums (1986–1987), Gary Holt – guitars (2011–present), Pat O'Brien – guitars (2011). - EFI-News

Assam celebrates Bhupen Hazarika's b’day

Dr. Bhupen Hazarika (1926-2011) GUWAHATI, Sept 7 – Around 5,000 people from different walks of life will render in unison Dr Bhupen Hazarika’s timeless number Manuhe manuhor babe at the Sarusajai Stadium tomorrow, as the State braces to give a fitting tribute to the music maestro on his birthday. This will be the maestro’s first birthday after his demise in November last year. Sadiya in Tinsukia district – the birthplace of Dr Hazarika and the easternmost tip of the State – will host the central birthday function. City-based event management group, J Creations, is organizing the musical evening at Sarusajai, while many other organizations including the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) are also celebrating the occasion in the city as also elsewhere. “We expect some 5,000 people from across the State to sing Manuhe manuhar babe in unison at Sarusajai tomorrow. It is a homage to the singing legend, and also an attempt to use the universal appeal of his songs to usher in peace and harmony
