The gig is also conducted to promote 'Metropolis' - the urban winter festival, to be held in Guwahati in January, 2016. Voodoo Child was formed in 2002 and the present members consist of Rittique Phukan on vocals, Jim Ankan Deka on guitar and keyboard, Rajib Hazarika on lead guitar, Bobo Bardoloi on bass and Dibya Baruah on drums. The band is considered as one of the best bands of the Northeast region of India in the Rock N' Roll genre.
